The Lambton Kent District School Board is running a course called Canadian Black History next semester in an eLearning format. This is the first time this course has been run and it is designed specifically around the local history of Black Canadians. It is being written in collaboration with museums and historians in Windsor. If you are interested in taking this eLearning course, please talk to your guidance counsellor.

Grade Nines: Don’t forget, today after school in the Cafeteria is coco and cram, a great opportunity to study for exams with your friends, pick up tips and tricks from your lancer link leaders and ask teachers some questions. The hot chocolate and cookies will definitely help you study too! After school from 2:30 to 3:00. Don’t forget to pick up a bus pass from the office if you plan to take the late bus.
Attention grade 9, 10, and 11 students. The next University of Waterloo Math Contest is coming up on February 22. If you are interested in writing the contest or want more information, please see Mr. Rivard in room 304 on your lunch this week so that we know how many contests to order. You do not need to have written the previous contest to write this one and it is a great way to expand your mathematical thinking skills!

The senior lancers came out firing on all cylinders last night against st pats taking a 25-4 lead after the first quarter. They cruised to the victory with a score of 73-31. 5 players were in double digits with Preston A scoring 11 and Noah D having his best scoring output of the season and finished with 15. The league schedule has changed and we now play Wallaceburg tomorrow instead of Northern. But the team has two more games at home on Saturday night. They play John McGregor at 3:00 and Windsor St Anne’s at 6:30.
The girls hockey team took on CK yesterday in a feisty game and came away with a 4-4 draw. Despite being short handed every girl on the team stepped up and had huge games. Ava F had 2 goals and an assist, Jacqueline D had a goal and an assist, Arionna H had 3 assists and Fiona W had the tying goal in the third. Gooo Lancers!!!!
