Lancers! The countdown to Christmas is on and student council has prepared some fun activities for staff and students throughout the week! Candy grams will go on sale today during your lunch in the cafeteria. The price is $3 and you will receive a card to fill out to have your candy gram delivered by Student Council to a special friend Friday in period 1. Make sure to stop by the cafeteria on your lunch before Thursday to place your order!
Tuesday is Christmas Bingo which will be held through Lancer Vision at the beginning of period two! Bingo starts at 9:45am!
Wednesday is Ugly Christmas Sweater day! Please note all Christmas sweaters must be appropriate and uniform bottoms ARE still required!
Thursday is guess the number of candies in the jar during your lunch.

The senior lancers traveled to Waterloo this weekend for the Jacob Ranton Memorial Tournament. They heard a great speaker, Hunter Pinke, on Friday morning who gave the players a new way of looking at the old saying a glass half full and challenged them to pour a little water into other people’s empty glass. The Lancers ended up winning the consolation championship because they unfortunately lost their first game 74-73 to Burlington Assumption. The next three games were one sided victories which were won by an average of 42 points. The team plays two times this week in Chatham. On Tuesday they are at McGregor and Thursday at UCC. Come out and watch some fantastic basketball.
The Junior Boys Basketball team continued their stellar season by winning the 2022 Lancer Invitational Tournament here at UCC over the weekend! This is the second weekend in a row these young men have been champions! The boys went 3-0 over the weekend, securing impressive wins over CKSS, St. Anne's from Tecumseh and St. Pat's from Sarnia. We look to continue our season this Thursday at 5:30pm, here at UCC vs Wallaceburg. Go Lancers!!
Some great grappling went down in London this past saturday. 15 UCC wrestlers attended a tournament at Banting Secondary School where 11 of them finished in the top 4 of their categories! Gold medals were grabbed by Ayden B, Dean R, Wesley & Alyssa C. Silver medals were cinched up by Gary G and Riley C. Bronze medals were bagged by Anthony P, Riley C, Morgan K, Austen C and Ethan W. The wrestling team has been putting UCC on the map in southwestern Ontario. Way to go wrestlers!
The senior girls volleyball team competed at the North Star tournament on Friday in Amherstburg. The girls displayed tough offence and defence and finished in the gold pool. The girls battled hard and finished third overall, with MVP of the tournament going to Sydney P for her strong defence. The girls are back in action this Wednesday here at UCC for league games against WDSS, McGregor and CKSS. Games begin here in the Lancer gym at 4:30. Come out and support the girls. Great job ladies - Mr. Phaneuf and Mrs. Sanford are so proud of you!
