It’s day three of multiculturalism week, can you smell the tasty aromas of Bobotie Africa's national dish and see the Eiffel tower standing since 1887. Today we are visiting Europe and Africa. Did you know that in France since 2016 it is illegal to throw away edible and or usable food because it must be donated. In the Netherlands there are more bikes than people, and don’t worry about mosquitoes because Iceland has none due to their varying climate conditions. Now in Africa, did you know that traditional African sculptures are often made abstract to truly portray the essence of people. There are more than 3,000 different Indigenous groups and 2,000 different languages in Africa. To continue the celebration of diversity at UCC, make sure to stop by the multiculturalism booth today on your lunch! Each lunch will have 100 world stickers to hand out so get down their fast!

The Girls Rugby team returns from OFSAA today after their greatest showing in teams history. UCC entered the tournament as the 9th seed. The girls defeated the eighth seed and played on the championship side of the tournament for the first time ever. Here they were defeated by the number #1 seed. The girls continued on and defeated the #5 seed to prove that they can hang with the best in the province. This is a huge step forward for the rugby program here at UCC. The coaches would like to say good bye, good luck and thanks for the memories to Ella T, Chloe H, Kiersten B and Vannessa F. Congratulations girls.
