The Girls Hockey team competed in the London Titan tournament this week. In their first game, they took down LK 6-1 on goals by Natalie JYD J., Dalia B., x 2, Jackie D.R., x 2 and Jocalin H. The Lady Lancers then beat Guelph Centennial 4-1 on goals by Addison A., Avery S., Maddy V., and Arionna H.
In the final game of their round robin, the Lancers tied Lucas of London 2-2 on goals by Ella D., and Addison A., giving the girls first place in their division. In the semifinals of the A division the girls played St. Joe's of St. Thomas, and lost a close contest 2-1 to the eventual tournament champions. Addison A., had the loan goal for the Lancers. Zara B., took home the player of the tournament for the Lancers. The ladies take on LCCVI next Tuesday in regular season play. Go Lancers!!!
As we all know, yesterday the buses were cancelled in several zones due to a snowstorm Wednesday night. For WDSS, the storm started earlier as the Boys Hockey team took it to them for 3 periods of hard nosed hockey and a 3-1 final score. Andrew B., lead the way with a goal and an assist. Cohen K., got the game winner and Dacian V., potted the clincher in the 3rd. Lukas D., was steady in earning the win between the pipes. The Boys take on the hardest test of the season as they face the Alumi next Thursday. Standing room tickets are available. Go Lancers Go!
