In anticipation of the potential legal strike action by the Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association (OECTA) on Tuesday, February 4, all Lambton Kent Secondary School Athletic Association (LKSSAA) student athletic activities scheduled on Tuesday have been cancelled and will be rescheduled. Schools will communicate information to students and parents/guardians about the rescheduled dates.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I am writing today to inform you that our Ursuline College Chatham Open House, which was scheduled for Thursday, January 30, 2020 has been postponed.

The Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association (OECTA) is currently involved in an administrative job action (work-to-rule) as part of its on-going provincial labour negotiations with the Ontario government and the Ontario Catholic School Trustees’ Association.  It is not possible to mount such a huge and important event as our Open House, without the participation and support of our teachers.

Plans for our 2020 Open House will remain on hold throughout this period of labour uncertainty; however, we will communicate with all parents/guardians and students as soon as we are able to reschedule.

We look forward to welcoming our new students and families to Ursuline College to find out more about the amazing variety of courses we offer, in addition to the excellent facility here at your Catholic high school!
