A system-wide Mass was celebrated on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Wallaceburg. The Mass is an annual back-to-school tradition at St. Clair Catholic, as the school communities gather in thanksgiving to God for the gift of Catholic education. It was also an opportunity to officially welcome 22 new employees, who have been hired throughout the past year.
"Every year, we gather as a community to celebrate Catholic education and commission our new employees, as they dedicate their important work to the service of our students, families and the mission of Catholic education," says Deb Crawford, Director of Education.
Father Chris Gillespie, Pastor of the Holy Redeemer Parish Cluster in Wallaceburg, was the celebrant. The music was provided by students from the St. Elizabeth choir accompanied by string instrument students from St. Elizabeth, Christ The King and Holy Family Catholic schools, under the direction of Ms. Jennifer Trinca and Ms. Clare Quinlan.
