FREE Pre-Apprenticeship Program @ St. Clair College

Brock University Ability Empowerment Day
High school students (grades 9-12) experiencing disability are invited to attend and discover opportunities in post-secondary education through this event. The goal is to create a space where students can come together to participate in a forum and learn about different programs and departments, exchange ideas, gain perspectives, and learn advocacy skills centred around post-secondary education.
Students should be prepared to log in virtually to take part in synchronous and asynchronous content on both days from 9 a.m. to noon. This event will take place on an accessible platform to suit the needs of all attendees, and accommodations such as ASL interpreters will be provided.

Ontario University Fair 2021
The Ontario University Fair will be held on Saturday September 25 from 12:00 - 2:00 PM, and on Tuesday October 26 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. Each 2 hour fair will be divided into 4 30 minutes sessions. All Ontario universities will be in attendance to answer any questions you may have about programs of interest. All students are invited to attend and no registration is required.

College Monday's!!
Ready to explore your future with Ontario community colleges? In just four sessions, you will be able to meet with representatives from all Ontario community colleges.
Every Monday in October and November (excluding Thanksgiving), there will be four panel groups running simultaneously on Zoom, each made up of six to seven colleges.
Each group will provide:
- A brief overview of the Ontario community college system
- Highlights from each college on the panel
- Time to ask your questions to individual college representatives

APSIP Virtual Tours
APSIP is a collective of Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit and Métis) representatives from Colleges, Universities, and Indigenous learning institutes in Ontario and Quebec. From its beginnings of being a small group of recruiters, APSIP now has over 30 post-secondary institutes collaborating and planning a 12-week post-secondary education tour. Pursuing a Creative Pathway? Need Help Developing Your Portfolio?
Your portfolio is a visual representation of who you are and a collection of work that showcases your individual creative and technical experiences. OCAD University has created a unique portfolio program with you in mind. Portfolio Clinics at Home is a series of workshops designed for learners between the ages of 15+ interested in pursuing a creative pathway towards post-secondary education.
As you know, the portfolio is the main point of consideration in applying to all studio-based programs at OCAD U. It can be stressful putting a portfolio together, so OCAD U is offering some support. Before submitting your portfolio for admission, sign up for Portfolio Reviews by OCAD U!
These online sessions will run at various times starting today, January 12 to 31, 2022. Join us for a review and get one-on-one feedback and tips from OCAD U portfolio experts.
Each review is 10 minutes long and with an OCAD U portfolio expert. You'll be asked to share your screen, so you'll want to have your best and most recent work ready on your computer. You also may want to include work in progress and sketchbooks.

Studying Abroad - The Bader International Study Centre
The Bader International Study Centre (BISC or "The Castle") is a campus of Queen's University located in the Herstmonceux Castle estate in the English countryside. Students study here in their first year and then complete their studies in Kingston, ON. This is the only study abroad program for 1st year Canadian students. Programs offered include: arts, science, health science, concurrent education arts, concurrent education science. All programs are applied to through the OUAC. Please click here for more information.

How to Apply to University
Student who are planning to apply to an Ontario University will need their PIN in order to complete their online application at http://www.ouac.on.ca/ouac-101/
The deadline for completed online application and payment is on or before Wednesday, January 15, 2020 in order to received equal consideration for admission to programs beginning the following September.
PIN's will be available from your Counsellor in Student Services in November 2019.

How to Apply to College
Students who are planning to apply to an Ontario College may now complete their online application at www.ontariocolleges.ca.
