If your child is four years old on or before Dec 31, 2019, then they can register today for Kindergarten this school year!

If your child will be age four between January 31, 2020 and Dec 31, 2020, then they are ready to register for kindergarten for next September 2020!

Standard Admission Criteria:
The parent/guardian must provide the following ORIGINAL documents for each child to be considered for admission:

  • Proof of Catholicity for parent/guardian and/or student (Baptism, or other accepted sacrament or faith document, including members of a church that is in union with the See of Rome). Click here for list.
  • Birth Certificate or proof of Canadian Citizenship or Residency Status (if appropriate)
  • Proof of age document (Birth Certificate)
  • Proof of address residency (i.e. utility or tax bill, lease/rental agreement, etc.) Note that a drivers licence is NOT considered proof of residency.

Registrations that do not meet the standard admission criteria may be considered for admission under certain exemptions with prior approval.  Please contact Student Admissions at admissions@st-clair.net for further information. 

Student Immunization:

The Ministry of Education required that every student must have a complete and up to date immunization record on file with the local Health Unit in order to attend school.  Immunization collection instructions from the Health Unit are included in the registration package. Click here for more immunization information.

Please print the completed form and bring it to your child's new school to begin the admissions process. Please note that there is also additional documentation (not available online) that must be completed at the time of registration.

St. Clair Catholic District School Board currently offers a successful French Immersion program in several of our schools for students from Kindergarten through Grade 12. We believe students enrolled in this program not only acquire strong language skills in Canada’s two official languages, but also receive a rich academic foundation formed in an affirming Catholic faith community.

Immunization Information

Under the Immunization of School Pupils Act (ISPA),the parents/guardians of every child who attends school in Ontario must provide proof of up to date immunization records to their local health unit.  A schedule of childhood diseases: Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Polio, Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Meningococcal diseases and for children born after January 1st 2010, Varicella (Chickenpox), are the designated diseases under ISPA, as set out by the Ministry of Health.  The local Medical Officer of Health is required by law to keep immunization records for every student.

Students who require an exemption from immunization for medical, religious or conscience reasons must obtain and complete appropriate documents with the Medical Officer of Health, before school entry.
