5 Reflective Journals
This assignment will prepare you for reflecting on your co-op experience and the writing of 5 reflective journals throughout your co-op semester. The purpose of the journal is not simply to restate what you did that week – but a more RETELL - RELATE – REFLECT.
Begin by looking at the Journal Questions and then downloading a Blank Journal Form. You are to choose a different one for each journal. There is a journal due about every three weeks. In the first section you are answering the question – or RETELLING what happened at your co-op placement that answers the question.
In the second paragraph you will RELATE what has happened to you personally. Did you have a similar experience somewhere else? How did it make you feel?
In the third paragraph you will REFLECT on the impact this will have on you in the future. Does it want you to continue in this career or not? Does it change you post-secondary plans? Do you want a part time job in this field? What skills have you learned? What new experiences have you enjoyed? Where does this all lead you?
