Take a look around the hallways today. It is incredible to see this sea of pink!

Today is Pink Shirt Day, and by wearing this colour, you are making a powerful statement. You are choosing to stand up for those who feel small, to speak up for those who have lost their voice, and to prove that at Ursuline College, kindness is our identity.

In our Catholic tradition, we are taught that we are all members of one body. When one person is hurt, we all feel it; when one person is lifted up, we all rejoice. Today isn’t just about a shirt—it’s about a commitment. It’s a commitment to be the person who includes the student sitting alone, the person who shuts down a mean rumor, and the person who treats every peer with the dignity they deserve as a child of God.

Let’s make today count. If you see someone in pink, give them a nod of solidarity. If you see someone who needs a friend, be that friend.

Spring is on its way and track season is getting closer. Are you interested in joining the UCC track team? Scan the QR code on the Lancer Athletic Board or outside of room 503 and 602. Join us for a mandatory meeting Thursday March 5th after school in the Annex.

Attention Lancers! Did you know that someone in Canada needs blood almost every minute of every single day!? Thousands of patients rely on OUR blood donations for surgeries, cancer treatments, emergencies and even medical conditions. Despite the constant need, only a small percentage of eligible Canadians actually take the leap towards donation. Members of the Health and Wellness SHSM have come forth to prevent a solution to this problem and offer YOU the opportunity to help those in need. 17 year old students will soon have the chance to sign up and donate their blood to help save lives and make the world a greater place! Stay tuned for more details this spring, and start thinking about how YOU can help a person in need.

Attention Health and Wellness SHSM students - please check our Google classroom regarding a field trip opportunity for March 4th. Please respond ASAP if you are interested in going!

Attention potential high jumpers. If you think you have springs and would like to give high jump a try, there will be 2 high jump try out days before March break. Tuesday, March 3 and Tuesday, March 10 immediately after school.

You must sign up to attend the try outs. Scan the QR code on the athletic board outside the gym and outside rooms 602 and 503.

Attention Senior Badminton players - tryouts are today at 5:30 until 7pm. Do your best to attend!

Junior tryouts will resume on Thursday at 4 or 5:30 pm. If you can't make it let the coaches know!

Jr. Boys basketball team, please meet in room 506 for a short meeting at the beginning of second lunch today!

The senior girls volleyball team hosted Holy Names last night in the SWOSSAA finals. The girls battled hard throughout the night but fell short in the 5th set. MVP of the night was Rylie O., for her swings and tough defence. The team gets ANOTHER chance to punch their ticket to OFSSAA with a SWOSSAA challenge game THIS THURSDAY (thats tomorrow!) here at UCC at 7pm against St. Annes. Come fill the stands, be loud, and help cheer these girls to another OFSSAA championship!

The girls ice hockey team are LKSSAA champions!!! In a hard fought back and fourth game against CKSS, UCC carried the play creating lots of chances but just could not find a way to break down the hawks goaltender. Regulation time would solve nothing, so the game would head to overtime. Overtime continued to be a back and forth affair, and it looked like the game was heading to a shoot out, but the ‘Niner Liner’ stepped up big and Azlynn S., buried the OT winner with a minute and change left. Grace G., recorded the shutout and was named player of the game for her big, crucial saves throughout the game. The girls will host the SWOSSAA finals next week to see who heads to OFSAA. Goooo Lancers!!!
