There is a chill in the air, which can only mean one thing…..it’s time for the annual UCC alumni hockey classic! Head over to Memorial Arena tomorrow after school for a 2:30 puck drop between the boys varsity team and the alumni all stars. Admission is a canned good and you will be entertained by the many talents of alumni such as James “the sauce king” McKewan, Josh “the lamp lighter” Laird, Tyler “top shelf” Clark, Will “the thrill” Tetzlaff, Jason “the dangler” Dehoey and KJ “the wall” Teron. Get there early for the pregame autograph session and the player Q and A. You will pay for the whole seat, but you will only need the edge!
Congratulations to our Junior Girls Volleyball team!
Last night, the team travelled to Great Lakes for their second league night and had an outstanding showing, winning seven out of eight sets and coming out on top in a split with CKSS.
The girls played an incredible night of volleyball, highlighted by strong defense, smart play, and great teamwork. A special shout-out to Josie Heslop, the lucky charm of the night, for her excellent serving and smart plays!

The senior girls volleyball team headed to St. Pat's last night for their last league night before Christmas break. The girls went a perfect 8-0, defeating St. Pat's, Northern, Great Lakes and CKSS with ease. MVP of the night was Autumn Fysh for her fantastic offence and strong serves. The girls are currently undefeated in league play and sit in first place in the LKSSAA standings. Fantastic job ladies!
