Literacy/English Help will be cancelled today.

ATTENTION ALL THEATRE LOVERS - NTS is looking for you for the one act play Iris. Iris is a play about a teen girl who struggles to find her place in the world. When Ivy’s mother becomes more and more controlling, it becomes clear that there is more to her past than she initially believed. As her relationship with her mother is put to the test, Ivy must learn to trust her instincts and claim her own identity. TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS and SIGN UP TODAY. All grade 9 students are welcome to audition with a modified audition, see Mrs Fernandes! Be brave and join us on the stage.

The Children's Treatment Centre is collecting pop tabs from all types of cans to raise money for a local child's wheelchair. Save your pop-tabs and bring them to Mme Vilaranda's in room 208 to help support this great cause!

Reminder to ALL Grade 9’s – please continue checking your emails every single day as the guidance department is scheduling appointments for all grade 9’s throughout November. If you receive an appointment notice in your email, let your classroom teacher know and head to your appointment at your assigned time.

The Junior Boys Basketball team will begin tryouts Monday, November 27th at 4pm. Please find the QR codes posted in the main hallway on the bulletin boards to sign up. All students trying out must bring clean shoes and a water bottle. Any questions can be directed to Mr. Jones or Ms. Houston in the Phys Ed office.

Girls hockey tryouts will take place tonight Thursday, November 23 at 2:30 at Memorial arena. Please let Mr Wright, Mr King or Ms Balkwill know if you cannot make it.

Merry Magic Christmas Preview night tickets are selling fast. November 29th (adults only). 6-9p.m. at the Armouries. See Margaret Palmer or Cathy Staal for tickets. Proceeds go to Camp Vincent and to help families and children in our area.

 

The 2nd annual Merry Magic Christmas fundraiser is happening soon. Many available times to volunteer. Sign up online this year at merrymagicevent.com or see Margaret Palmer or Cathy Staal in Student Services for a volunteer sheet. Grab a group of friends and join in the festive holiday spirit. Such a fun way to get your volunteer hours and your holiday spirit boost. Face painters, craft leaders, computer whizzes, dancers.... so many ways to be an elf this Christmas.

ATTENTION GRADS! The Yearbook Club wants your BABY PICS and YEARBOOK QUOTES! We are asking that they be submitted by DECEMBER 22. Both can be sent through email to Mrs. Haines or they can be dropped off at either Mrs. Hashim’s classroom - Room 609 or Mme. Culverwell”s classroom - Room 209. Make sure your name is on both and please try to keep your quotes short and sweet!

Are you interested in working in the greenhouse? Enjoy growing food from a simple seed? Do you want to learn how to care and maintain plants? Help green our school? Starting next week, the Enviro Club will run on Mondays, right after school, from 2:30-3:30. Come on out to the UCC Greenhouse starting Nov 27th! Hope to see you there!
