The Lancer Vision Crew is assembling select segments from the live shows from both semesters this year to re-run on Friday during all 4 periods. If you have a suggestion of a segment we should play again email Deacon Raymond Girard. If we get lots of different suggestions we may have to run slightly different programing for each period to fit them all in.

The Senior Boys Soccer team competed at OFSAA Thursday and Friday. In their first game, the boys faced off against Michael Power Secondary School from Etobicoke, the eventual 4th place finisher, and played very well, and the game was tied until the last two minutes when Michael Power would score two quick ones. In their second match, the Lancers faced St. Pete's from Barrie. Nelson D would get the Lancers on the board, and despite carrying the play and having the better chances, the game would end in a 1-1 draw. On day two the Lancers played probably their most complete game of the season against St. Mike's from Niagara, Aiden V had the boys up 1-0 on a beautiful pass by Rees E. The boys would outplay their opponents, but on the last kick of the game, Niagara would tie the game up 1-1. In the final game, the boys played Grand River Secondary school and lost 1-0. The boys fought hard and were very close in every game. Mr. Kalp and Mr. Wright are so proud of your efforts, in a truly memorable and incredible season! Goooo Lancers!!!

UCC would like to congratulate Sam L & Ethan V as they will represent us as our Dr Parry Award nominees, The Dr Parry Award recognizes strong high school student-athletes in Chatham Kent. They will attend the awards ceremony this Thursday night in our theatre. Best of luck Sam & Ethan.

The Ursuline Track Team competed at OFSAA in Ottawa this weekend. Four team members went, including CJ R, Emma N, Griffen K and Jeremy V. The team returned from the tournament with six medals, 5 Golds and 1 Silver.

CJ competed in all 3 of his events as a grade 9; his events included Long Jump, Triple Jump and High Jump. He won a silver medal in the Long Jump on Day 1 of the competition. On day two, he competed in Triple Jump, claiming gold. In High Jump CJ finished 12 overall

Griffen went as a junior boy to compete in Javelin. He finished 22nd overall across Ontario.

Emma made her OFSAA debut as a grade 9 competitor not to be messed with. She won Discus on Friday and returned on Saturday to win Shot Put. The double gold medalist shattered six meets and two school records this year.

Jermey made his final OFSAA debut. Coming into the meet, he already had 3 OFSAA medals, even with missing two years for covid. His final meet was the best one. He added two gold medals to his collection. He won the Senior Boys Shot Put and Discus, winning both events by over 2 meters past the 2nd place competitor.

Congratulations to all members involved, as it was the most successful year UCC has had in track and field.

A reminder to those interested in playing UCC Football in September - the second lift test will take place TOMORROW immediately after school in the weight room. If you have played, haven't played or know someone who should be playing - help spread the word. The time to get on the train is now.
