Picture Day for Fall & Winter teams will be this coming Tuesday & Wednesday. Coaches are reminded to get package details out to athletes and prepare uniforms if out of season. Athletes are asked to ensure they have full uniforms for pictures. Times for each team will be posted.
A huge shout out of gratitude to the cast and crew involved in the Charlie Brown Christmas in Muskoka play. They performed a whopping 13 shows in 5 days! Their energy, positivity and commitment to spreading Christmas cheer was very much appreciated. A special note of thanks goes out to Mrs. Lacina's fashion class for constructing wee little Woodstock and our ever so memorable hippo, Deacon Raymond's communication class for designing the incredible backdrops and the admin team and all classroom teachers for their patience and understanding during such a busy week. Thank you to all involved!
The senior girls volleyball team traveled to Amgurstburg this weekend, where they competed in a day-long tournament, finishing second in their pool. The girls lost a hard fought battle in the semi finals against the Sandwich Sabres, taking the match to three sets. Tournament MVP for the team was Sierra Tooshkenig for her solid swings and serves and her versatility in several different positions.

This past Friday, ten UCC wrestlers hit the mats hard in Tillsonburg. They’re getting ready for Christmas, as they snatched up silver and gold. Kayla Smith, Daniel Crummer and Khun-Dte Jung each locked up gold medals. Vanessa Devolder and the Parent brothers, Ben & Zach, all tied up silver medals. Ryan Geniole and Victoria Armstrong both finished in the top 6. Excellent effort from Owen Dodman and Xander Wong-Sharma who both wrestled very well. Way to go UCC wrestlers.
There will be a RAINBOW ALLIANCE meeting today, during both lunches, in room 104. If you are interested in contributing to our school's diversity, compassion, and inclusivity than consider coming out. All are welcomed.
The Junior basketball team won another tournament this weekend beating some of the best in Windsor. Many players had key contributions... Birthday boy, Spencer Denomy had 28 points on Friday night in a huge win against Massey. Nathan Handson had a monstrous 25 point game in semi final win against Holy Names highlighted by his crowd pleasing fast break dunk!. Throughout the weekend Aiden Lutes, Andrew Huys and Darian Basic-Hadden played aggressive defense and unselfish offense. The team travels to Sarnia tomorrow in a big league game vs Northern.
