The senior boys soccer team kept their season rolling on Thursday by defeating McGregor 6-0. Dacian V., got the Lancers off the mark with a long range effort. Xavier M., would bury from the penalty spot then add two more to cap off his hat trick. Jaydon Hortelano converted his first senior goal, and Nathan V., would ice off the game converting his own penalty shot. Jake A., maintained the shutout with great play by his defense in front of him. The boys take on WD tonight after school at home, kickoff at 3:30pm. Gooo Lancers!
Attention Lancers! UCC will be participating in Student Vote Canada this Friday, April 25th. Here's a quick profile of one of the five candidates you can vote for on election day.
Dave Epp is running for the Conservative Party and is our current Member of Parliament. Dave has an extensive business background and is a common sense conservative. His priorities are lowering the cost of living by implementing a 15% income tax reduction, cancelling the GST on newly built homes, and building new pipelines to boost the Canadian economy in response to American tariffs.
If you like what you heard, you can vote for Dave Epp and the Conservatives during period 1 this Friday, April 25th. Tune in tomorrow to hear about another candidate.
The Ursuline Lancers Senior Girls Soccer team put in a strong performance on Thursday against John McGregor, showing great teamwork and skill throughout the match.
Madeline Verbeek got things started with a composed finish to open the scoring. Bianca Brown followed up with a well-placed shot off the post after a skillful dribble through defenders. Jackie D., added to the scoreline with a solid goal, set up nicely by a pass from Katie K. Grace G., also found the back of the net with a confident strike.
In the second half, a well-taken corner by Brooke R., connected with Bianca B., who calmly slotted in her second goal of the game. Madeline V., added another on a breakaway. Abbie P., capped off the match with a strong shot from outside the 18-yard box to seal the result.
We wish the Lady Lancers well as they head off to Windsor and St. Thomas this week for tournament play.
Well done, Lancers!
