The senior boys football team kept Mr. Blundy busy on the stat sheet on Friday as the team set a school record for points scored, beating the defending champion Northern Vikings by a score of 70-7. I would tell you who scored and who played well, but that would simply take too long. The boys were dominant on both sides of the ball. An honourable mention goes out to our middle linebacker and kicker, Cam "kickers are people too" C. who went 10 for 10 in converts. The boys play again this Thursday here at UCC at 3:45. Lets show some school spirit, and get to the game.
Congrats to the senior girls basketball team who won the consolation final at Western on the weekend. Dianna L. paced the Lancers on the offensive end, while Elyse S. led the team defensively.
The senior boys volleyball team lost in the re-pooling of top teams Saturday at the University of Waterloo. On Friday the boys finished second in their pool going 8-2 only losing to Eden. On Saturday the team played in a power pool losing to Mississauga and Smithville. The team played some outstanding volleyball and players of the weekend were Clarke D, Zach M and Evan M. The Seniors play their first action in Chatham at UCC Wednesday after school.
The junior boys volleyball team had another successful Saturday, finishing second at their Essex tournament. The boys finished first in their pool and went on to lose a close, hard-fought battle against a strong team from Sandwich in the finals. The team heads to John Mcgregor this Thursday for their first set of league play against Mcgregor and CK.
