The senior boys soccer team took down WDSS on Tuesday 7-1. Rees E., led the way with a hat trick, Xavier M., had 2, and Jayden B., and Mateen S., each had one. Jake A., let in his first goal of the season, but totally redeemed himself with an assist on the Lancers second goal.

The boys also traveled to Niagara yesterday, and won the second division of the Nike Challenge Cup. Nate V., played his best game of the season helping the Lancers to a 5-0 win over Greater Fort Erie, with goals by Rees, Brock and Xavier. The Lancers lost one to St. Mike's but turned around and beat St. Paul in a penalty shoot out, and beat the host school Notre Dame 2-1 with goals by Xavier M., and the championship winner by Judah C., on a soaring header off a Cristian S., corner kick. The boys face off against CK next Tuesday at home. Gooo Lancers!!!

Good morning Lancers! Election day at UCC is tomorrow, Friday April 25th. A reminder that our student volunteers will come around during period 1 tomorrow to direct your class to a polling station in the cafeteria. Now, onto our final candidate profile.

James Plunkett is running for the Green Party. James is an AZ truck driver and lives in Bothwell with his fiancé. James is proud to have been born with a disability, and you can regularly see him out in the community with his service dog Champ. His priorities for Chatham are cancelling the planned Dresden dump to protect local rivers, increasing access to affordable housing, and making disability supports like the ODSP federal programs.

If you like what you heard, you can vote for James Plunkett and the Green Party tomorrow, during period 1. Check out our candidate corner in the caf for more info on all 5 candidates. Shoutout to the artists in Mr Whyte and Mr Phaneuf's P1 classes.
