We have a large group of students writing the Literacy Test this week. This is a reminder that all grade 10 students taking English this semester are writing the OSSLT tomorrow and Wednesday during their English classes. Senior rewrites are happening on Thursday in room 107 during periods 1,2 and 3. Please reach out to Ms. Magliaro if you have any questions.
This week marks kindness week. Quote for today: “Kindness is sharing the best part of our hearts with those around us. If you can be anything, be kind”. Today's challenge is to smile at others, especially those you don't know. Smiling is the universal language of kindness. We will also begin our "Caught in the Act" challenge that will continue all week long. Staff and students are encouraged to notice the kind things that happen around them. If you notice a kind act you can nominate that person to be entered into our Caught in the Act draw. Ballots can be obtained by asking a teacher and once completed can be returned to the teacher to be entered. At the end of the week 10 ballots will be drawn to win a self-care gift basket. Stop by the main hallway and take your picture with the kindness mural. Share on social media to get the word out about the importance of kindness!

The Senior Boys Football Team defeated the St Pats Fighting Irish to capture the LKSSAA championship on Saturday afternoon. They were dominant on both sides of the ball. The boys will compete for the SWOSSAA championship next Tuesday in Windsor. The team would like to thank the staff and students who made it out to the game. Your support did not go unnoticed.

The junior boys volleyball team competed in the LKSSAA championship on Friday in front of an energetic and supportive UCC crowd. The boys battled hard but lost in the final, finishing second overall. The boys had a fantastic season, including two tournament championships and two second place finishes. Congratulations on a great season boys - your coaches are so proud of you!
Are you ready to rumble? This is the last week for new members to join the wrestling team. Practices are Monday through Thursday in the caf right after school. Football players are still welcome when your season finishes. See Mr. Parent if you have any questions.
