Yesterday was another successful day for our track team who wrapped up this years SWOSSA in Windsor. The following students placed FIRST place in their events and will be travelling to OFSSAA regionals next week:
Griffin K: won Javelin
Jeremy V won senior boys Shot Put
Emma N: Won Discus and broke a meet record set in 1985!
CJ R: won BOTH high jump and Triple jump, these first place finishes along with his Long jump win Wednesday resulted in him claiming the OVERALL meet champion for the Novice Division!
The following students will be joining their teammates at OFSSA regionals as they placed high enough to qualify:
Meghan K: 800m
Ethan V: 800m
Nolan M 3000m
Boys 4X400 relay (Ethan V, DJ, David B and Gavin M)
Close call shoutout to Vincent V and Ashlyn B both narrowly missing top five in the 3000m.
As well as our girls 4X400 who crushed a 38 year old school record, narrowly missing OFSSA (Allie P, Kaitlyn J, Sofia M, and Meghan K)
