2020 Virtual Teen Transition Fair
On Thursday December 3, from 5:30-7:30, Jump Start Sarnia Lambton will be hosting a virtual Teen Transition Fair around the theme of "Navigating Services", which will cover topics such as respite, employment, education, extracurricular activities and housing. The 2020 Virtual Teen Fair will be livestreamed on www.youtube.com and can found by searching "JumpStart 2020 Virtual Teen Fair".

LEADS Employment Services is offering a Youth Leadership Development Program who works with clients who need varying levels of assistance developing skills and accessing volunteer and employment opportunities. Youth can expect the following from participation in the program:
- Skills and confidence that will assist in obtaining employment in the future
- Finish required high school service hours
- Meet other young adults with similar hobbies and interests
- Develop goals and plans for the future
- Leave program with professional references /networks and resume
- Leave program with optional training such as First Aid & CPR, Smart Serve, Safe Food Handling, etc.

jobPath is a program intended to help students who have a disability discover and realize employment goals. Run through Community Living, jobPath is now 100% virtual, and consists of a series of workshops and employment related field trips offered through Zoom sessions. LAMBTON COLLEGE JOB FAIR - Thursday, March 12 from 10:30-1:30
Local job seekers will have the opportunity to connect with more than 50 employers at an upcoming Career Fair taking place at Lambton College.
The free event, happening at the College on Thursday, March 12 from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. is being hosted by Lambton College Co-op & Career Services in partnership with Sarnia Lambton Economic Partnership and Sarnia Lambton Workforce Development Board Lambton.
Organizers of the event say this is a great opportunity to for job seekers to meet with hiring managers from a variety of organizations including Lambton College, NOVA Chemicals, and Old Navy. Other companies planning to attend include Community Living Sarnia Lambton, Chatham-Kent and Sarnia Police Services, Lambton County Developmental Services, Lyndon Security Services, Ontario Power Generation, Starbucks, The Home Depot, VanBree Enterprises and many more.
Organizers are encouraging attendees to dress for success and arrive with a resume in hand.

Human Resources Dept. at the County of Lambton is looking for 4 Student Test Shoppers, aged 15-17 and currently enrolled in high school.
The job would be based out of Lambton Public Health.

2019-2020 Employment Opportunities
The Summer Employment Opportunities (SEO) Program provides up to 5,000 students with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience through supervised summer employment in the Ontario Public Service.
These positions will enable students to gain valuable work experience and develop skills which are transferable to the labour market. Positions for summer 2020 were posted February 10 and have six different closing dates between February 28 and April 3.
