The Midget girl's volleyball team played their city Championship game against CKSS last night. They outplayed the Hawks three sets in a row to take the championship title. Strong sets from Leah and Gabby helped create opportunities for Olivia, Jenea, Keyauna and Liv to attack, while outstanding digs helped defend against the Hawks and keep them at bay. Congratulations on the Championship title - Lancer loud, Lancer proud.
Pope Francis spoke of his heart breaking at the fact that a homeless person dies in the cold and it is not news, that children without food is not news, but that today's news is of scandals. Pope Francis said that we cannot rest while the world around us is this way. LANCERS let's make news, let's make news of how we are helping those on the streets. Remember to bring in items to help the homeless to your period one class. Together, we can make a difference.

Basketball Fans! The Knights of Columbus are holding a Free Throw Contest on Jan 26th. Registration starting at 1:30pm. Any student 17 and younger are welcome to attend. Prizes are awarded to the winner. Also, volunteers are needed. If you are interested in helping out that afternoon please see Mr. Culverwell in room 103.
