The Ministry of Education provides funding through the Grants for Student Needs (GSN) for administration and governance costs, including support for trustee honoraria, travel expenses and professional development. The trustee component of the administration and governance grant is based on the number of trustees (including student trustees) and provides an annual allocation of $5,000 per trustee for travel expenses and professional development.
The Board procedure for Trustee Expense Reimbursement requires that summary information about allowable trustee expense reimbursement will be made publicly available by the Treasurer of the Board .
