Terry Fox

September 20, 2015

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Once again St. Philip Catholic School is pleased to be hosting its annual Terry Fox Walk on Friday September 25 at 1: 45pm. All monies raised through our event will be forwarded to The Terry Fox Foundation to further the cause of cancer research.

Our walk will follow the same course as in previous years on school grounds.  Students will be encouraged to walk, jog, or run for 25 minutes. Teachers, parents and supervisors will be on hand to supervise and assist students along the way.

We are very proud to be associated with The Terry Fox Foundation and believe that our involvement will launch a successful, positive and meaningful school year.

We will have a kick off assembly at 10:30 as will have a speaker from the Terry Fox Foundation Ms. Jennifer Tremaine-Gallagher.

We are very proud of our contribution to cancer research; $7925.51 has been raised by the pupils in this school community for cancer research since 2004.

All students are encouraged to take part and are asked to bring in a “Toonie” as part of a donation. We also invite you to participate by walking, jogging or by cheering for your children as they complete their laps.

Let’s keep Terry’s dream to find a cure for cancer alive.
