Principal's Message
2005-2006
Dear Students and Families,
It is my pleasure to join the St. Elizabeth Catholic Elementary School community. I would like to extend a warm welcome to students, staff and parents as we begin a new school year. The school community shares a vision of Catholic education, is dedicated to providing a caring and safe school environment, and will continue to enjoy an extended partnership with our parish, parents and volunteers.
The St. Elizabeth student leadership teams are recognized as an outstanding experience for student involvement in school-wide events. Engaging students in developing their own leadership skills at the school level provides for learners to shape the world; to make a difference.
Coherence in our community is an essential component of growing together. I encourage further collaboration among teachers, parents and students. Relationships are built upon the foundation of open communication. This means we encourage the expression of concerns, diverse views, and new ideas. Bringing school issues to the school council meetings will help solve problems effectively and meet the needs of all members of the school community. On behalf of the staff, we are committed to helping parents remain involved by providing you with school information directly or via newsletters and the school web site. Masses, school events, fund-raising activities, the breakfast program, and school council meetings are opportunities for your support and/or participation.
Creating and sharing, knowing and growing, reflecting and responding, understanding and developing, caring and giving are the human characteristics at the heart of education. These characteristics are the indicators of improved learning.
Let us keep in mind our Mission Statement. As we are all responsible for student learning and our own learning, may we embrace the challenges of this school year. I look forward to celebrating the successes of all our students.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Sandra Vozza
