The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is the program that provincially regulates the classification, labeling and training required for workers exposed to hazards products in the work place. WHMIS is often referred to as the "Right To Know" legislation. That is, all workers have the right to know of the actual or potential hazards associated with the products that they use in the work place.
