Asbestos is a "Designated Substance" in the province of Ontario with specific regulations regarding it's use and presence in buildings. The St. Clair Catholic District School Board has a comprehensive Asbestos Management Plan in place to effectively deal with Asbestos in our buildings. To compliment this program we have an Asbestos Awareness Training program that is covered by all staff on an annual basis. Asbestos can cause serious health problems when managed irresponsibly, the St. Clair Catholic District School Board managing asbestos in a manor that meets and exceeds provincial standards.
