Serving in the Love of Christ
Dear Partners in Catholic Education,

During the week of May 4th to 9th, the St. Clair Catholic District School Board and its schools will celebrate the gift of Catholic education and its significant contribution to our communities, our province and our country.

The theme this year is Live Like Jesus:  Serving in the Love of Christ.

Catholic Education Week is an opportunity each year to reflect on the tremendous role that Catholic education plays in the life of our communities.  Our Catholic Graduate Expectations challenge our students, through the fundamental values that underpin Catholic education, to become life-long learners, who are caring family members and responsible citizens.

Our Catholic schools are places of growth.  Kindergarten students grow to become teenagers; grade nine students grow into young adults.  Along with physical growth, our students are also nurtured in their life of faith, helping them to grow closer to God.  Through prayer and knowledge; and through living in a vibrant Catholic community, our students learn the importance of serving Christ through serving others.

Special activities are planned at each of our schools to mark Catholic Education Week.  Some activities celebrate our faith; some focus on learning excellence through literacy and numeracy events and celebrations of the arts; and others demonstrate our commitment to service through acts of charity.  Click here to see a list of just some of the events that have been planned in our schools.

Please join with us as we celebrate Catholic Education Week 2014!
