Our Principal
Chris Kehoe, Principal

I hope everyone had a truly enjoyable and restful summer. It’s always great to rejuvenate the soul! This year will be filled with lots of excitement and new beginnings here at St. Matthew Catholic School. On behalf of the staff of St. Matthew School, we wish to extend a warm welcome to all students and families in our community. A very special welcome to our new students. We look forward to working with everyone to make this school year one filled with many positive experiences!

Our school community is fortunate to be identified as a “Best Start” site, where quality daycare for infants and children up the age of three would be located. Our JK and SK students will also have the opportunity to attend a “Wrap Around” program on their alternate days. Many of our families will also benefit from a “Before and After” program. We welcome “Our Kids Child Care” childcare providers who will be operating these child care programs within St. Matthew Catholic School.

Have a great year everyone!

While a number of measles cases have been confirmed in Ontario, there are NO case contacts (exposure to the measles virus) in Lambton County at this time.

The majority of students in Lambton County have been immunized against measles, and the risk to the general public is low.

It is important to ensure your child's measles immunization and records are up-to-date. Immunization is the best way to protect communities and schools from outbreaks that can cause unnecessary illness and death.

Privacy Advisory

Our families and staff enjoy opportunities to share some of their activities with parents and the school community through teams, clubs and special events. Many of these are ‘memory making’ for families and as such, photographs and videos are often taken.

We ask that families exercise their discretion when taking photographs or videos at school events and consider the privacy of other students who may also be present in those pictures. We would appreciate if families not upload images of students other than their own to the Internet (e.g. YouTube or Facebook). Your cooperation with this request is appreciated.
